"We had an amazing time at the Dog Trot this year, as usual. We caught more fish than we have in years and saw a wide array of animals on our day and night rides. We were able to canoe and boat multiple times throughout the week. We'll be back next year for more great times."

"Had a great week. Our kids and grandkids were at the Katy-Lee while the 'old' folks were here. Good fishing all week, pike in the 28-36” range, but few bass. It rained one day, but it was needed. This place is great, cool, and clean. This is our 38th year up here."

"We all had a blast up north! I don't want to leave! There were a lot of deer. It was cold! We played hide-and-go-seek, Catch Phrase, and Sardines. The fireplace was always running, keeping us warm. Well, I have to go. You know, packing up! It was another great year!"

Where traditions are kept and memories are made - one family at a time.

Meet the Family
We’re the Phillips family, and we’re excited to introduce ourselves as the new owners of what was formerly Reed Ranch - now Wilderness Ranch. As longtime outdoor enthusiasts, we deeply respect the history and traditions that have made this place so special, and we’re committed to preserving everything you love about it.

The Reed family built an incredible legacy, creating a destination where hunters, fishermen, and nature lovers could gather and enjoy the beauty of Michigan’s great outdoors. We’re honored to carry that forward while introducing thoughtful enhancements to make your experience even better. We’d love to hear from you - whether it’s stories from past visits or ideas for the future. Stay in touch through email, mail, or our website.

Thank you for being part of this meaningful community, and we look forward to the future of Wilderness Ranch together!
